Healthwatch England is currently recruiting for the Healthwatch England Committee. The Committee has all the normal functions of Board including strategic planning, performance monitoring and challenge and support of the executive in the work we do to ensure that people’s collective views and experiences influence national policy.
Healthwatch England are looking to recruit four permanent members of our Committee to fill these roles.
You will need to be either a Director or a Chair of a local Healthwatch. Each of these four Committee Members will need be rounded non-executive members. They will also need to command the respect of their local Healthwatch colleagues but are not on the Committee to represent them, only to bring some of that local Healthwatch experience to the Committee table from time to time.
Healthwatch England are particularly keen to hear from those who may also bring knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: public health, mental health, digital and information technologies, information management and governance, research, and finance and audit.
The role will require approximately 2-3 days per month on Healthwatch England business, for which there will be remuneration of £9840 per annum. The appointments will be for a period of up to four years (subject to continuing to be a Director of local Healthwatch).
