North East London Early Diagnosis Centre views wanted

UCLH Cancer Collaborative has secured NHS England funding to develop a new cancer diagnostic service for north east London. The Early Diagnosis Centre (EDC) is the first of its kind and will improve early diagnosis for patients with conditions that increase their risk of developing cancer, as well as monitoring patients with early stage cancer who do not need treatment right away.

The North East London Early Diagnosis Centre is due to open at Mile End Hospital (part of Barts Health) in December 2019. The first phase for the centre will consist of two endoscopy suites and two ultrasound rooms, co-located with an existing CT scanner. COGS, Combining Opinions to Generate Solutions, is working with UCLH Cancer Collaborative to seek patients’ views and opinions about the North East London Early Diagnosis Centre at Mile End Hospital.
