Pharmaceutical Needs Assesment
06/11/2017
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham need your opinion on pharmacy services in the borough over the next three years.
A pharmaceutical needs assessment helps ensure everyone in Barking and Dagenham has access to a pharmacy and the services they provide.
The assessment provides information on what services are currently provided in the borough, what changes may occur in the future and if there are any gaps in coverage.
The Barking and Dagenham Health and Wellbeing Board is consulting on the draft pharmaceutical needs assessment, which will be used by NHS England to determine services in the borough for 2018 – 2021.
The draft pharmaceutical needs assessment has not identified any gaps in provisions across Barking and Dagenham and has discovered over 98 per cent of residents live within one mile of a pharmacy.
Consultation
The draft PNA is open for public consultation until Friday, 5 January. A final version will be published in spring 2018.
