Help your local NHS to improve stroke services in north east London
03/07/2023
Your local NHS is working to improve care services for people who have had a mini stroke (known as a Transient Ischaemic Attack or TIA) or a stroke.
A mini stroke (TIA) is a warning sign that someone may be at risk of having a full stroke. Anyone who has symptoms of a mini stroke should be seen by a healthcare professional within 24 hours.
The TIA service is currently available Monday to Friday in some of the local hospitals and they are now launching a weekend service which they want to make sure meets the needs of local people. Your local NHS also want to understand what people know about the risks and symptoms so that they can improve the way they share information.
Please complete the short online survey which is open to anyone living in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, City of London and Hackney. This survey can be completed by anyone, whether they have experienced a stroke or not.
The survey will be open until the end of the day on Friday 28 July 2023.
You can also print a copy of the survey out and post it to them using their freepost address (Stroke survey, Freepost NHS North East London), drop it off to any of their offices (locations are on the survey) or email it over to them.
If you have any questions or you need the survey in a different format please email nelondonicb.nelcommunications@nhs.net or call them on 020 8221 5500.
