King George Elective Care Centre

Barking, Havering, Redbridge University Trust (BHRUT) were awarded the contract to run the Elective Care Centre at King George Hospital.
A dispute by Care UK – who previously held the contract – has been raised concerning the selection process for the contract. This is being investigated by Monitor and is possibly going to result in a delay to the service until February 2016.
Attached is a briefing document outlining the issues and the impact on the service in the meantime.
In the document is an e-mail address for responses to Monitor, with any comments about this issue requested by 11th September 2015.
