29 Sep 2020 - Used blood testing services? Have a cuppa with us and share your story

Join us for a virtual coffee and chat session. COVID-19 has changed the way services are being provided, this was and still is for the safety of service users and staff. Our team are holding a number of coffee and chat sessions to hear what your experiences of accessing health and care have been like during this pandemic.
Our next session is focused on Blood Testing Services. The session is being held to find out what residents currently think about blood testing services and what can be improved for the future.
Was it easy to get a blood test form from you practice?
How did you book your blood test slot and what was the process like?
Did you email or call for an appointment slot? Was this quick? Or did you have to make contact several times?
Your views will make a difference in improving services for the future.
We want to hear the what worked and what needs to improved.
This session will be conducted via Zoom. You may also telephone in if you don't have access to a computer.

12 Aug 2020 - Mental Health Provision Coffee Morning

We are inviting residents of Barking and Dagenham, their friends, carers, and family members, to share your stories of mental health provision during COVID-19.
We also want to hear from people who work in the borough.
Join us and share that your experiences of accessing your mental health services - we want to hear about what worked and what did not work.
What are your concerns? Did anything stop you from accessing your services?
Was technology a challenge or barrier to receiving services?
Were you able to speak to a professional when needed?
This session will be conducted via Zoom. You may also telephone in if you don't have access to a computer.

28 Jul 2020 - Join us for an hour-long online coffee morning to share experiences of accessing GP services during COVID-19

We are inviting residents of Barking and Dagenham, their friends, carers, and family members, to share your stories of GP services provision during COVID-19. We also want to hear from people who work in the borough.
Join us and share that your experiences of accessing your GP services - we want to hear about what worked and what did not work.
Should the new ways of accessing GP services continue? How can these be improved?
What are your concerns? Did anything stop you from accessing your GP services?

05 Dec 2019 - Improving Access to NHS 111 for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People

NHS England will be holding an engagement event in central London aimed at patients and patient representatives of the deaf or hard of hearing community and commissioners and providers of NHS 111 services to improve the patient experience. There will also be deaf and hard of hearing organisations in attendance, and colleagues from NHS England.
The purpose of the event is to explain how the current NHS 111 service operates and to explore where potential improvements can be made. Information heard on the day will be used to inform developments in the NHS 111 service as we continue to make improvements to the patient experience. The agenda will be made available shortly.
NHS England would like, patients, patient representatives and organisations to bring their ideas and experience of the current service and/or their suggestions for service improvement, and in turn we can answer any questions you may have about what the NHS 111 service can offer.
Please note that this event is free but is by ticket only, and you must register in order to confirm a place. There are a limited number of spaces, so please book early to avoid disappointment. When all places are full, registration will automatically close. Please ensure you bring your ticket with you on the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
British Sign Language interpreters, lip-speakers and speech-to-text type interpreters will be present at this event. There will also be a hearing loop throughout as well as disabled access as standard. There will be an opportunity to tell us about any other accessibility requirements you may have during registration.
Travel to this event and other reasonable expenses that have been agreed in advance will be covered/reimbursed. Please email england.integratedurgentcare@nhs.net with full details. Don’t miss out on the sixth annual youth parade, the day is to celebrate young people and their contribution to the borough. There will be a number of activities on the day. Something for everyone to do! We will also be having a stand and running some activities- come along and say hello to our staff and volunteers!
