People Working in Care Homes - Mandatory Vaccinations

Today the government has published guidance for people working in care homes that will make it manadtory in regulations from 11th November 2021, for all staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated for Coronavirus, before they can enter premises to work.
Some key dates are that from 22nd July 2021, a 16 week grace period started, running until 16th September 2021, the last date for care home workers to get their first vaccination done, to ensure they are fully vaccinated by the time the regulations come into force.
This is a significant change and will have an impact and implications for the care sector going forwards. The detailed guidance can be read here.
